Leaving the country while on a retirement visa
Holding a retirement visa in Thailand necessitates securing a re-entry permit if you plan to leave the country during your stay. Failure to obtain this permit may result in the cancellation of your retirement visa upon your departure from Thailand. To ensure an uninterrupted and hassle-free stay, obtaining a re-entry permit is essential if you have any intention of traveling abroad while on your retirement visa.

There are two types of re-entry permits available, single and multiple.
The single re-entry permit allows one-time use and costs 1,000 THB in immigration fees. On the other hand, the multiple re-entry permit permits multiple uses and is valid for one year, with immigration fees amounting to 3,800 THB.
